Glow Arena

Description

As a Technical Developer for Le Stanze Perdute, I collaborated with Chiara Russomanno to bring the Glow Arena project to life. This innovative attraction, located in Carpi, Italy, offers an immersive experience where players navigate dynamic challenges in a transformed environment.

My contributions encompassed multiple technical aspects:

  • PCB Development: Designed and developed the printed circuit boards that form the backbone of the interactive systems within the arena.
  • Structural Prototyping: Utilized CAD software to prototype the arena's physical structure, ensuring seamless integration of technology and design.
  • SDK Development: Created a custom Software Development Kit (SDK) for the Unity engine, facilitating the development and integration of interactive elements and ensuring a cohesive user experience.
  • UI Technology: Engineered the technical components of the user interface, enabling intuitive interaction and enhancing overall user engagement.

The Glow Arena features a variety of games, including:

  • Laser Game: Players avoid laser beams while stepping on designated tiles.
  • Twisting Laser: An advanced challenge with increasingly complex laser patterns.
  • Laser Cross: Navigating intersecting laser beams adds a new layer of difficulty.
  • Floor is Lava: Participants must step on specific tiles to avoid virtual lava.
  • Memory: A fast-paced twist on the classic memory game, testing players' recall under pressure.

This project exemplifies the fusion of technology and interactive entertainment, providing visitors with a unique and engaging experience.
